Naturally, Shoes & Cocktails is a big fan of Project Runway. In episode 2, also known as the models-shop-for-their-own-environmentally-friendly-fabric-and-almost-everyone -ends-up-with-the-same-ugly-brown-fabric-challenge, Natalie Portman was guest judge. If you haven’t already taken a look, check out Miss Portman’s vegan shoe line over at Té Casan. They are not as budget-friendly as they are good for the environment, but they are as elegant as her. And keep in mind that 100% of the proceeds will go to various non-profit organizations dedicated to environmental preservation and animal rights. If I was tasked with pairing shoes from the collection, I’d choose these lovely reds for Suede’s winning design. And, give the lady a glass of champagne!

te casan? i thought it was “take us on” – which was confusing.
That makes sense now. Don’t think I’m a fan of the name. Maybe Natalie could elicit Shoes and Cocktails help to come up with a better one!
S&C,
Great shoe/dress pairing. I love the red shoes with that dress! Fancy! Someone once told me Champagne goes with everything– and I am inclined to believe it. What do you think?
AMV, you are correct! That delicious sparkling beverage does in fact go with everything. It practically epitomizes perfection. There have been a few comments left here about champagne, and I want readers to know that S&C hears you loud and clear! S&C is a champagne devotee, and it will have a dedicated post. But, don’t let that stop you from having a glass….
I love this site and all of the observations and comments….I realized in reading the posts that I much more a wine girl, but I am willing to open up to new cocktails…..besides a good ketel and cranberry I must say I love a kir…either white wine, prosecco, or champagne with a drop of creme de cassis. I had drinks at a friend’s house this week and she used to live in Italy and she drinks prosecco with blackcurrant juice, also very yummy!
I just re-read the comment about champagne and I must say the best bang for the buck I know is Zardetto prosecco….it is a great value and very delish for all those future holiday parties!
