It was an absolute hit if I say so myself. Fortunately, I had my sous-mixologist, Rob, at the bar with me and the consensus was extra sugar is necessary to balance out the lemons. We didn’t have triple sec on-hand and we didn’t feel like taking the time on making our own simple syrup, so 2 cans of 7-Up were added (for one whole watermelon) and it was a perfect addition. Garnished with thai basil from JD’s garden, and I was blushing from the praise — and from the bottle of vodka we added to the pitcher:)
