However, I’ve been a loyal Asics gal for the past 10 years or so. Every time I get new sneaks, I try, I really do, to check out other brands. But I always end up with Asics. They fit my foot well and have a good balance of cushiness and support.
BTW, C-ville has the best running store – Ragged Mountain Running.
I’ll be running my first 5k in years on Saturday. Can’t wait for the crowds!

I too am enjoying running although my knees and shins tell me otherwise … This 5K http://www.actrunfortherainforest.org/ may be my first as an adult and my last, but at least I will say I did it. If you want to do one together though, let me know! I imagine would be more fun with a friend.

You go girl. Seeing Mr. S&C cheering you on is something that will never get old. I love looking out for KT when I’m racing. During my first 1/2 marathon, I even called him at mile 7 to see where he was! Sshh..don’t tell “real” runners I had my cell phone during a race.

Anyway, about shoes. I was a Nike girl forever but apparently that whole pregnancy thing made my arches fall? I had no idea that could happen …but our running store fit me for Saucony shoes. I pink puffy heart them. I wish they WERE pink. If they were pink, they’d be perfect.
